![]() Select the Album Gain button to begin correcting all files. This mode normalizes all the tracks in the album based on the target volume, but will maintain the volume differences between each track as they were in the original album. I'm told iVolume has a much better algorithm than iTunes, but I haven't tried it myself. If you've got an album to correct, select the Down Arrow next to the Track Gain icon and select Album Gain. They scan all of the files and set the volume adjustment to even out playback levels across all of your files (pretty much impossible to do manually with anything more than a handful of albums). sonykss240aservicebulletinsm.pdf (23.74 kB - downloaded 359 times. On the page 16 you have the adjustments procedures : Focus Gain and Tracking adjustments. In some cases even doing an adjustment will nerver repair the physical problem, i changed tons of them in the past. What apps like iVolume and iTunes do is set this tag automatically, rather than you manually going through and doing it. Re: CD player focus/tracking gain adjustment. just one more reason to use FLAC or ALAC rather than AIFF or WAV for digital files. You can't actually raise the level past zero, but you can make it so more of your program material is captured by the limiter and raised to the brick wall (zero ,or close to it). I'm not sure if AIFF supports this tag, but I suspect it doesn't. Add a brickwall limiter and gradually lower the threshold on it until it starts sounding louder. This non-destructive setting preserves the integrity of the source file and allows you to change your mind later, or turn off the change entirely. The playback volume setting allows the player to change the volume on the fly during playback (or burning, if you turn that setting on as Jimi Floyd suggested) while leaving the actual file data alone. To clarify: I know about volume adjust under More Info - Options, but that only helps when listening to them on iTunes, it does not affect the volume when it’s burned to CD. Due to the preprocessing done by CDBurnerXP, there are no special requirements for the playing device to make use of RG. I'm not sure how this works with AIFF (or WAV) files if at all, but for FLAC / ALAC / AAC / MP3 files you really don't want to change the file itself. I’d really like to know if there’s a way to adjust the volume of iTunes tracks. Jarboe the man album, Growing herbs indoors kit, Hickeys timber mart.
